Ninjas of Love

    • I set Ninjas of Love down as a book of 801(Yaoi) or Boy's love,

Some girls likes Homosexuality which there is in Novel, Manga, Videogame in japan.

        Loading editor
    • It reminds me of that book that Kakashi from Naruto is always reading, Make Out Paradise.

        Loading editor
    • Who knows, "Ninjas of Love" may very well be RWBY's version of the "Icha Icha (Make Out)" series.

... Makes me wonder, just who is the author...?

        Loading editor
    • ninjas of love... is 50 shades of grey in rwby world, I mean come on, she is 17. That kind of books was made for her age group. It doesn't matter who or what the main characters are, it's smut, good smut.

        Loading editor
    • You know, it could just be the RWBYvers Twilight. Just something that Blake's embarrassed to read because it's ridicules.

Except in the RWBY world, aura means that everyone already sparkles anyway.

        Loading editor
    • We were actually speculating (joking) that it's author was Glynda Goodwitch.

        Loading editor
    • Maybe its a book blake wrote about a certain male and an original character of her's ;)

        Loading editor
    • I'm sure Glynda would have made it better than Twilight with some more believable characters (then again anyone can do that).

        Loading editor
    • Glynda is 90% of the way to a Dominatrix already, I mean come on! A riding crop as a weapon for "spanking all the naughty boys, girls and grimm"!

I think authoring 50 shades in the RWBYverse is totally within her skill set, although if she wrote it, it would be banned.

if it's like 50 shades of grey, i think there'd be some issues with it being a play.

    • yeah, lighting and stage direction would be a nightmare :P

    • No one seems to be recognising the "ninjas" aspect of this.

      Just sayin

Think Ninjas of Love should be a Movie?

        Loading editor
    • Considering Blake is a girl (duh) and she hides the book from sight, i'm going to assume it's not like twilight or fifty shades fo grey more likely a very inapproite novel to be reading in school.Something like penthouse letters for ninjas or something

      isnt that  a bit sexist?

i have a friend whos a girl who is a yaoi fangirl, and she reads books like that.

and twilight and fifty shades of grey were WRITEN by girls.

if anything, being a girl would make it more likely that its a smuty romance novel

actually i read this in a fanfic a few days ago and im paraphrasing a little here

"its not smut, its erotica, and there is nothing wrong with that"

        Loading editor
    • i'm saying that people openly read those, she on the other hand doesn't even let it be on her bookshelf

        Loading editor
    • It was apparently meant to be a reference to Make Out Paradise.

Source? I don't doubt it could be, but I donn't believe it has been confirmed.

        Loading editor
    • It's not confirmed at all. That was just speculation on the part of whover wrote the wiki article. Personally, I think it's more likely some teenage romance novel, not erotica, just something Blake would be embarassed to see reading.

        Loading editor
    • But isn't it so much more fun to imagen that it's an eirotic noval writen by Glynda under a secrat pen name?

        Loading editor
    • yeah it's either a Twilight spoof by Glynda Goodwitch or a erotica 50 Shades of Grey spoof....by Glynda Goodwitch.

        Loading editor
    • This is one of the few places where I really just want Monty to cave to popular demands and make Glynda the author.

        Loading editor
    • i'd wouldn't mind it.   Altough it could lead to interesting ships later on.

Why doyou have a link to the thread?

    • if it IS a...you know.......one of THOSE kinds of books...what does this say about Blake herself?

i mean, her ribbon does have a lot of potential with....certain activities.

        Loading editor
    • It means that Blake is a lonely girl with very little emotional intimacy in her life. She's also basically a typical teenager who is feeling the first blush of hormonal lusts.

I think that Monty was making a point with that throw-away moment: that RWBY are, basically, just normal teenagers, for all they have superpowers and are training to be warriors against a semi-demonic evil (as well as the more mundane super-criminals of the world).

        Loading editor
    • So it's 50 Shades of Grimm by Glynda Goodwitch?

Anyhow NINJAS of Love does seem like a reference to Jiraiya's books in Naruto, cause y'know NINJAS, of Love.

        Loading editor
    • No, not 50SoG (which is pretty hardcore, from all accounts). I think it's more likely to be a fluffy teen romance of the sort you could buy from a book-store in a train station. If I'm right then, amazingly, Blake is the most likely character to be actively looking for a romantic relationship!

        Loading editor
    • I doubt Blake would hide it if it was just romance, if she had to hide it it would have to be something really embarrassing like hentai manga, going by the title, about ninjas, and because it Blake I'll throw in some nekomimi(cat people... I guess that would just be cat Faunus in Remnant wouldn't it).

        Loading editor
    • Perhaps this can be a plot point, where one of Blake's love interests finds it and asks about it, leaving Blake flustered (by plot point, I mean furthering the relationship).

Not necessarily. I'm sure plenty of people who aren't "supposed" to be the type of person to read romance novels but do anyway would hide it.

When I read Host, I didn't exactly go waving it around, simply because it was by the same author as Twilight.

Putting a book on self is not even close to flaunting it in public. If she wasn't willing to even have a chance of having others see she has it, it is something more then cushy romance for sure.

I am male and yet I have romance stuff like Dawn of the Arcana, and Crimson Empire on my bookshelf. I don't see why a (not to be sexist or anything) girl would be embarrassed over having romance books when they are more likely to have them in the first place (they are usually targeted at female audiences)

I wasn't saying it was the same situation, but rather an extension of the same. We quiet, calm people don't like other people knowing what we are reading/watching/drawing/writing anyway, let alone something slightly romantic. At some point, something reaches embarassment, and I don't think it has to be hentai.

    • Ok, ok, so it not for sure ero material, but unless it's "how to hide your cat ears for Faunus" I don't get it.

    • Perhaps it is a Interspecies Romance novel, which Blake would like to hide for both hinting at her Faunus heritage, and the embarrassment of actually owning a cheesy romance novel.

    • Glynda would be funny, but personally I can see Ozpin being the author. Purely to troll viewers they should do a segment where Professor Port or Doctor Oobleck mention in passing that they need to get back to finishing Volume XX of Ninja's of Love, with Blake over hearing and turning pale(r than normal).

Is Dawn of the Arcana any good? Also is it a Manga or a true novel? I've played the game lords of Arcana but never heard of a book with the name. Explanations please, thank you and grazie!

    • I can imagine it being part of Blake's birthday.

The girls get back from class and the room is decorated with a happy birthday banner.

Blake "When did you get time to do this"

Ruby "Oh I just ran back quickly between classes"

Weiss "We've each got you a little something as well"

Weiss gives Blake a neatly wrapped present and sits on bed. Blake opens it to find dust ammunition.

Ruby "I couldn't think of anything really nice to get you or at least not in my price range so I upgraded Gambol Shroud for you, it has a larger clip capacity and a faster rate of fire"

      Blake "Thanks that's amazing"

Yang "I got you this" Hands Blake a parcel.

Blake opens it to reveal Ninjas of Love 2 - Blake goes bright red.

Yang Pulls out Ninjas of Love "I found this and knew you'd love it Throws book onto bed where Weiss. "I hope you don't mind I read it.... I was kinda hoping to borrow that one after you've done with it."

Ruby "Ren's baking a cake so we better go across before Nora eats it"

Ruby, Yang and Blake start leaving.

Weiss picks up Ninjas of Love "Do you mind if I borrow this"
