Wiess being scarred by blood?

  • ❝We all see that Wiess has a scar on the left side of her face. And we all remember that in the White Trailer it was there when she first started singing. But when she "came down," in what we believe to be her memory (her royal test?) her scar was not there. However, when the Suit of Armor punched her (she didn't see that coming) she began bleeding at her forehead. Now, now, I may not be an expert, but I know a thing or two about scars since I have a "Harry Potter" scar in the middle of my forehead... But, how on earth could Wiess be punched and she ends up having a scar like that? Maybe it's just me looking too hard at things, or it's just the laws of fantasy are different, but I would have assumed that if she were punched in her face, she'd have like a gash or something, but if she were hit in her head, maybe, just MAYBE, her scar would look right.

    Wiess "face-scar" shots.

Now heres what I'm thinking: Notice how she bleeds, as if it were running, but that happens to be exactly where her scar ends. What if...what if Weiss is scarred by blood and not mere wounds? That her own blood scars her. Perhaps as a punishment? For nearly failing her royal test? I mean it's kinda hard to see, especially with the blood being all the way down on her face, but the way she stands, sometimes it appears that her scar follows the trail of her blood.

I dunno, but still, that would be awesome. And if Monty isn't making Wiess scar with blood, I sure as hell am going to do that to one of my characters. Awesome.❞

    • I think that scar was cut through by a metal ledges on bones of fingers of Giant Armor. Just Weiss saw her hand and close yeyes and both eyelids was cut... some like that, i think.

Btw, you dont see blood when she started getting up, bucause cuts start bleeding not at once, so her eyelids was allready cut, but not bleeding yet.

    • ❝What are you talking about? I mean the angle, not when she first stands, but the way she stands when they now show her bleeding face. I mean that's the most logical explaination, but I was seriously trying to figure out how could something so large hit you and you come out with this tiny scratch (that must have been one hell of a nic) and than I started thinking about the blood being where the scar is, and what if she was hit in the head, not the face, but the blood just runs down her face.❞

    • You do realize the scar and the blood are unaligned, right?

Speaking of, how can anyone ever get a crooked scar like that, at all?

    • I have a crooked scar on my chest.

      Okay, that's nice to know.

No, actually, to be honest, it's completely useless. Weiss's scar looks like someone cut her over her upper eyelid while her eye was open, froze time right before reaching the lower eyelid to move whatever weapon they had to the right a little, and then finish the cut.

Now that is highly unlikely. Crooked scars anywhere else are easily explainable, but over an eye? I'm not sure. Maybe Weiss's eye actually was cut along with her eyelids (as painful as that may be), but they reconstructed it somehow, yet the scar remained for some reason.

I remember a thread that discussed Weiss's scar, but it seems a bit old.

    • So...  Raiden used Blade Mode to scar Weiss?

Really though, Weiss' scar in the White Trailer is a cluster of silly, so I don't like theorizing about why it's crooked and why it sometimes vanishes, because it may be traced on texturing errors or deliberate trolling on Monty's part.

I would be inclined to say errors in general, RWBY as a whole has been guilty of this multiple times.

Anybody remember the Double Crescent Rose moment?

❝Hey, hey, now: be calm. It was a thought. And a very cool one. Something that I could very well put in a novel, and one that I am putting in a novel. I thought of it, that makes it MINE! Hee. But anyways, it's animated fantasy. Anything is possible. But if we go with your logic, explain this: How can a possibly sixteen year old girl be hit by a giant suit of armor, in the face, possibly controlled by a spirit, and come out with only a scar? Don't ask stupid questions like that, because logic doesn't work in animated fanatsy. You'll whine up making yourself look foolish. You don't have to agree with my theory, but you damn sure don't have to try and justifiy your own rational with more rationalizing. It doesn't work here. Onnnnn to the next one...❞
