I watched to latter part of the Q&A rwby panel, and I believe Monty said the episode length was gonna be about 10 minutes: However, it said it more as an off-hand comment (if that makes sense), so I can only think that was generalizing on his part. That said, I think it will play out in the same manner as "Forward Unto Dawn" releases, so will just have to wait and see .
As I understand it, the episode length will be variable but I would imagine that ten minutes will be the approximate average duration.
This has precendent: Episodes of Red vs. Blue can vary between five and ten minutes, depending on what is happening in them and whether there is a natural 'split point' where the episode can end without dividing up a dialogue or action sequence unnecessarily.
What I thought was maybe a regular episode might take all the time of the trailers combined for some odd reason, and so my first guess was somewhere around 18 minutes... Oh well. We'll see soon enough.
I was thinking the episodes would probably be about the same length as the RvB episodes. Still really disappointed that the public airdate is so far away though. Also, how often will episodes be released? I never really followed the RvB series, I've only seen a few episodes. Will there be one every week? One every two weeks? Or one whenever RT feels like releasing one lol?
They will be released weekly, they are just waiting two weeks to release it publicly so they can follow the weekly schedule, seeing how the second epsiode wasn't even finished when they previewed it at RTX. Monty did say that 10 minutes was long for a RWBY episode, so i am guessing they will probably have episode lengths similar to those of RvB.
