So, having seen a few complaints about the symbols being too dark to register on the site, I went ahead and re-colored them. I also redesigned Mercury's symbol slightly now that I was able to see a fuller version in episode 1.
I also altered the Sky Lark emblem to better match the fanmade ring insignia, because I've started to think that may be closer to what it should look like.
I'm serious. It matches the apparent theme of the club and his name and Junior doesn't have an identifiable emblem of his own.
If you think it's wrong to speculate on the symbol then you don't have to. I leave it up to you.
Well we could both believe that this isn't Junior's symbol because I believe I haven't seen anything of it. I will make the symbol version of it but it's pretty much up to admin's to add it as a "placeholder symbol" considering there s no source to a true symbol. Speculating on symbol's, to me, is fun in it's own own ways but this is a wikia, so speculation needs to be at least "marked."
It could be either really. I mean the target lock up top appears on the back of his jacket, but the tridents are on his shoes. The tridents could just be a nod to his name, but there isn't really a good way of knowing until he appears during the end credits or unless a staff person confirmed it and I don't know.
But on a other note, I would say the larger symbol of the crosshair on his back beats out the Trident on his shoes. I agreed with Nedz to say it's probably a decorative but maybe he has 2 symbols? Anything is possible.
We could always just wait to add it until he has his own end credits graphic. If we don't know, then we are just speculating about what it could be and recently we have been trying to cut down on speculation.
Yes, speculation on background information, character derivation, abilities, weapon function, etc. But not on what their symbol is. If there's an item on their person that can be construed as a symbol, then "why the f not?" as the internet says.
Okay, so I went ahead and made it thinner. I don't know how long it will take for the wiki to recognize the new version though.
I'm just saying that not every character has two or more symbols that could be considered their official symbol; Neptune might be the first actually. So if given two or more options about what their true symbol is without knowing one way or the other (which we do now thanks to Cyrus), then wouldn't it be considered speculation as we are just guessing which one it truly is?
Sorry about that. The end credits for the DVD offered some clearer creditless versions of the silhouette so that's why I updated those files. Should I upload them seperately or should I not do anything with them at all?
I talked to Nedz and we both agree that the Silhouettes look better with the credits on. BTW, if the DVD did have clearer images, then why were the pictures look edited because the brightness for each were like ridiculously high? Another reason why I undid it was that it was not all. Some like Peter Port and the Penny/Sun Wukong were just kept original.
And to answer that last one, until further notice, they should be kept alone.
The pictures were not edited at all. The end credits for the DVD are slightly different than the end credits uploaded on the RT website or on YouTube. Instead of fading out to black, they show a full view of the silhouette for a split second longer before showing the RT logo. So I just paused at that moment and took a screenshot.
And yeah, I had forgotten about the Peter Port and Oobleck ones. The DVD doesn't seem to have credits for all 16 episodes and only has credits for each of the 10 chapters. So I could only get my hands on 10 silhouettes. So, I'll leave them alone as you say.
