Hi Chishio, I would like to say thank you so much for adding their profile after the fifth episode of Volume 5 was released. I was wondering if you can add character theme to each of them if you and other adminsters have time since I want to add their concept arts, and the volumes they appear in their gallery page. If you unable to figure out the character theme, then I think Corsac's character theme might be cream or silver grey color and Fennec's character theme should be lighter orange color. This is my option and suggested if this helps.
I'll bring it up to the rest of staff. I agree with your choices on the colors for their themes. It would be a lot more personal than just using colors from their outfits instead of their Faunus traits.
I've been having somewhat of a large discussion with an anon on Yang's main page about the wiki's portrayal of her personality and Semblance.
In the most recent message, I proposed a change we should make regarding her personality noted in the end of Volume 4, and there are many other things the anon proposed should be worded in some other way. Could you and other admins offer perspectives on it?
I'm actually multitasking right now and might go to bed in a while, since I have work in the morning.
I really wish there was an easier way to do multiple quotes, but the only way I know of is to just type in the coding for the quote and copy and paste what the person wrote. It's kind of a pain, but it makes it easier to respond to different people and different points in their posts. XP
Oh sure, have a fast day at work; I will answer in the thread then, sorry if I put a lot, I really like discussing this kind of things xD
And ok, I am dumb ~ Just realized there's a source button. All right, thanks :)
You're welcome. ^^ I sometimes put a lot in my posts, too. It happens. A lot of people who hang out on the wiki love to discuss stuff about Ruby and get a bit in-depth in our posts every once in a while.
Yeah, although I gotta be careful, already made a mistake and put some spoilers where there shouldn't be, and in some threads I saw some people were quite toxic, especially in the OC threads. And the ships, oh man, some people would die for their ship to be canon even if they are weird as Enabler haha xD
While a person's Message Wall is open to the public and the threads on it can be replied to by anyone, if Oldstone and Majora request that you leave the thread, then you should do so. Continuing to post on their Message Wall thread after being asked to leave can be considered harassment. Do keep in mind, though, that forum threads are different in this respect, as they are actually intended for everyone to join in, while Message Walls tend to be about conversation between specific users.
On that note, responding "Then fuck you and fuck your fanfiction" was way out of line and too aggressive.
Looking through the Wiki Activity or the Recent Activity is normal, as that is how people look for edits that need to be improved or vandalism that needs to be undone, as well as conversations that people want to start. I would also like to thank you for bringing my attention to the problem you were having with Openminds.
Yes, I hate interruptions, so much, that I'll even threaten to steal a person's soul for doing it, it says how "unpleasant" I am in my worst mood in my profile, do you catch my drift, my awfully powerful Mælstrom.
This is a question I feel that I already know the answer to but one that I felt was still worth asking:
Are we not using images from the Volume 5 character shorts for the original Team RWBY outfits in the templates because they're not from the main series proper or because they don't lend well to template images?
I meant to convey that all four of Team RWBY have now been shown in their original outfits with the Maya engine, which before the character shorts, had not been the case. But the wiki is not using the Maya Character Shorts versions of the outfits as the images for them in the Character templates. I was asking "The character template images of the original outfits are not the most updated Maya engine form of the outfit. Is the reason for this because they are not indicative of the outfits as they were present in the Volumes proper?" Or, also, was a discussion on "updating" the template images just not ever had?
I swear I didn't mean to "put my foot in the door so I could ask a different question." I just wanted feedback on this other thing too and however much discussion needs or does not need to happen with other admins before anything does or does not become of this is good by me. I also don't want to make it seem like I'm pushy or this is all I ever talk about. I just feel that this is a part of the wiki, an aspect, that seems like there is a better version that could possibly happen at this particular moment. Just like going around and fixing grammatical errors but on a scale that needs a larger consensus and approval.
I compiled potential template images of the four original RWBY outfits. While I like them, my main objection is that we wouldn't use Weiss' because it is before she got the scar, and if we don't use all four, it doesn't feel right to use just a couple.
When it comes to information like that, we add it to the wiki despite the source being FIRST-only because, otherwise, we would never get to add that information. Part of the purpose of RWBY Rewind is that the hosts interview members of CRWBY to ask them questions about the episode and things that went on behind the scenes for it. Basically, they make the series to give fans info.
The reason we continue to have a spoiler policy for the RWBY episodes is because they become available for free only three days after FIRST members receive them, so it's not nearly as much as an issue, since there's only a few days' wait, as opposed to 7 days or never.
Hello and Happy Halloween! (Unless it isn't halloween in your country!)
I have a question. I made an edit to Vernal's page about her appearance, and I went off of the image. I didn't edit anything else, but I was wondering if it counts as a violation to the RWBY Wiki:Spoiler Policy.
Thank you for the edit, we really appreciate it! The Spoiler Policy is only in effect when the episode is limited for FIRST-members only. But since the episode aired for regular users about an hour ago, it's perfectly fine to edit right now.
I just added a little bit of info on the color of Gravity Dust crystals. I just wanted an Admin to know so that way they could look at it and change the wording of it if it doesn't quite sound right. So if you could do that for me I would love it. I'm not exactly too great at phrasing things.
I'm adding the quotes from Ilia in V5E3 to her page. as an admin you have the power to change what i post at will, so feel free. I can't stop you. The after I'm done with her I'll add Ozpin quotes fromt eh same episode.
The reason why some history tabs have an infobox and some don't, is due to the Battle & Events section. The fact that Salem has none is simply an inconsistency. We are currently discussing if we should remove all infoboxes on all history tabs or keep things as they are now.
