DIY RWBY DS skins
I thought since there isn't that much RWBY merchandise I'll tell all the fellow wiki members how you can make you're own RWBY DS skins. (This technique can be used on other electronic devices.)
1. Find a template for your DS model. I recommend searching for one that's actual size, make sure it's the right size when you print it.
2. Put the design or picture of your choice through a sticker maker.
3. Place the sticker on your device. If you don't want it to be your devices permanent design you can place it on a hard cover for your device, then you can even switch the designs.
For beginners I'd suggest using small designs that don't go around the buttons, put them on the back of the device.

Okay, she's got the whole "Wonder Woman" look going for her, which is a bonus for the long-time geek boy from the start. She's a redhead and has beautiful green eyes (both another cause for weakness in yours truly). She's a star athlete and has the fighting skills to back up her warrior look. She's even got a multi-mode spear/sword (although I didn't foresee the lever-action rifle and longbow modes) and a shield. She's... well...
All I can say is that I think I'm developing in severe crush on Pyrrha Nikos! That Jaune is a lucky, lucky guy and if he screws up, I'm not going to give him a second chance! :-D

Heller everyone! I trust you've seen and enjoyed episode 5?
My thoughts? Well, first I felt some type of of way with the episode being 4:32 -_-. However I still enjoyed it and I diied after Ruby hit that crow, poor bird. It didn't deserve to go out like that hahaha.
Secondly, Pyrrha went "Hulk" on those trees, further cementing how awesome she is. I loved the fact that she started looking for Jaune as soon as she landed XD. She knew who she wanted!! It's cute to see her little crush for Jaune. She'll protect him!..unless he turns out to be a badash warrior.

Hey everyone so I ahven't been the one to post a blog in a while so here I am! Episode 5 thoughts, reviews, speculations for next episodes, whatever, BEGIN!
My thoughts:
1) Pyrrha's weapon. Is. Ridiculous. (In an awesome way, of course)
2) I'm liking all the characters more and more as I see them, especially Pyrrha, Weiss, and Ren.

I am here to explain the general setting and first issue story.
The story is set in the exact same world as RWBY is, everyone hails from Vale specifically. We are all either crew members or passengers on an Airship. We are setting out for another continent when we crash and decide to settle there until the ship is repaired or rescued.
Now the actual plot. Opens with T.O.M.M. (the ship's sardonic maintenence droid) and Fire (a passenger) arguing with each other about being a shizno. Fire, taking offense, defends himself. Ok, so in my last post I expressed my opinion on how confusing (and "dumb") the concept of Dust is... was... whatever. After actually taking the time toread the vast sea of comments, it appears that I came off rather impatient, angry and just plain stupid... with a touch of ungrateful.
I am writing this to let you all know that what you say does make alot of sense. "Magic", in whatever sense it's apllied does need its limitations or it becomes uninteresting. So lately I've seen that numerous people aren't satisfied with the writing so far in RWBY. Some have claimed it's grossly predictable and others feel it is just inept(for what reason I haven't a clue). Some have even criticsized the characters personalities. Dust is actually kinda dumb.
Well, not dumb, exactly. Just really confusing in it's concept. The more I think about this stuff, the more questoins I come up with. Questions that I really doubt will get anny sort of satisfying answer.
For example: we know that the effects of Dust change depending on what color it is (generally), red is some kind of energy, light blue is ice, etc. What I want to know is... why? How? How does changing the color of this... rock, mineral, whatever it is, change it's effects? Can you mix dust? Like in it's powdered form? Like, say I got red Dust powder and blue Dust powder and then, I dunno, fire it at something, Do the effects of red and blue overlapp, or do they just make purple and do something completely different?

Here is some stuff about Dust. Most of it is already on the wiki but it does have quite a few missing pieces though. Hopefully somebody can help out or those holes will just fill themselves as the episodes come out.

Team Pairing Speculation
Nyaaaa... Episode 4 is awesome, who doesn't love being launched off a cliff?
So, my Team pair up guesses. The first list is what I want to happen/what I think is most likely to happen, and then what I think position-wise will happen:
Ruby - Blake: Mainly just because I think besides Ruby and Yang, they'd make the best team up. Also because I have this theory that Blake and Ruby are the two that will avoid making eye contact for the longest simply because they don't want to be with anyone.
Ruby - Weiss: Just because, plot weiss, I think it's going to be the most likely thing to happen, unfortunately.

Fleet Status Update 8/12/13
Seeing as how I won't have access to Wi-Fi until Friday (an extra day of teeth gritting), I'm going to go ahead and post the Fleet's status update now, while I have the chance.
RubyXJaune (Flagship): No armed resistance, but serious technical problems, notably with the engine. Scheduled to return to dry dock for extensive repairs, but FleetCom holds out hope for her eventual success.

RWBY Episode 5 Sp!... eculations
I wonder how many people fell for my title. Maybe zero. But anyway, let the sp!... eculations begin! For this post I'm going to try and speculate exactly what is going to happen in Episode 5, and laugh really hard later at how off I am. This is apparently a legitimate way to spend time, and I'm just compelled to try it. Note that the below speculated events would follow a chronological sequences:

I know, I know, Ikeep posting, but honestly, I can't help it. Once I figure out something new, or want to say somthing, I have to. So, yea. The topic is Adam and dust. Sorry, scratch that, Adam with dust. I was watch the RWBY panel from RTX 2013, and some guy asked about Dust. The guys mentioned that there are a lot of things in the Black trailer that have to do with dust. One of them being "stuff glows". This maked me think of Adam with his moonslice and turning red. So, now I believe that Adam uses dust! Anyone with me?

It was pretty obvious that Blake was not in the episode. But after a little bit of research, it seems that she's actually there. I just had to say it, Jaune is really adorkable and Ren ..... I like him I don't know why. So far it looks like they both are more nervous on their innitiation than the other freshmen. Also I hope the armor dude is Mogar, and mohawk dude is Geoff.
Anyway that's it, Jaune and Ren, are my favorite male characters in the series like top 1 so far. ^^
RWBY Episode 4 Review
Well, I had wished for a more action-packed episode but I guess just seeing weapons would be fine. Honestly, I suspect there wouldn't be much of it either on the next episode (very likely it would simply involve Team RWBY and Team JAUN warming up/arguing the crap out of each other) but eventually it'll have to come.
Now then. Let's follow the norm and start with things that I like first.
1) Jaune's hilarious attempts to look confident, and actually having the guts to go through with it to the end. He really wants a girl but for the wrong reasons right now.
2) Phyrra showing an interest for Jaune. I'll talk more about it later.
3) Yang's sunglasses antics. She's so cool!
4) Personal discussions between Yang and Ruby.
5) It's 7 and a HALF minutes …

What if: Ren, Pyyrah, Nora, and Jaune weren't all on the same team like we thought? I mean everyone assumes they are, including myself buut, think about it...what freakin color would their combined names referene? really, what word cuold one make with JNPR? The name 'Jaune" isn't official, hck we don't even know if he'll be the leader(most likely he will), but that acronym doesn't fit anymore. So what now? Guess we'll find out in episode 5.

I love how the episode showed more about team JAUN. I was dying for see more abou them !! First of all, finaly we got all the names of them so no more Nero or Apricot, so thats very good, so lets go to my toughts.
I was hoping Lie Ren were a Fighter like Yang, but its still too early to see how he fights, i dont want to belive that chinese clothes are for nothing. Monty as his voice was very awesome , that cool and calm voice suits him allot. Alright, so episode 4 was finally released today! Hooray!
This (so far) has been my favorite episode. Funny how every new episode has become my favorite! XD Moments such as the beginning of the episode with Nora and Ren and Yang putting on those sunglasses just before she was launched into the air made this episode for me. Not that it wasn't a good episode to begin with.
For startes, let me just say that Nora is one of my favorite characters after the beginning of the episode. I figured that she'd be a bundle of energy and I was correct. Heller everyone! So episode 4 in my opinion was a nice episode! Got introduced to some fantastic characters like Pyyra(she's so sweet) and looks like Jaune has a crush on Weiss hahaha. Jaune and episode 4
While Jaune is a fine character and all, I'm starting to get tired of him. I'm all for underdogs, but he bores me now. He's too underwhelming for me, which became apparent in episode 4 when he stood in a line next to all the cool students. I hope the story doesn't focus too much on him in future episodes, cuz I wanna see cool weapons, not his boring sword. I'm pretty sure his sword will become something more than that eventually, but by then i wont care cuz all the other characters would have already shown their coolness. Just caught something in the Black Trailer
I don't think this is significant enough to warrant a speculation thread. So at 0:45 in the Black Trailer, when Blake comes to a stop in front of the Cliff, a crow or some other bird of prey flies off. Juding from her raised hand, it looks like the Crow flew off her wrist or something. This may just be a 'Crow' reference that Monty (in his wisdom) put in as an inside joke, but could it also be something else?

We continue where you'd probably expect, Weiss trying to turn Greyson into swiss cheese, only now he's hiding up in a tree, Weiss unable to target him with her Dust spells. The rest of the team catch up and Blake swiftly nabs Myrtenaster from Weiss.

Does Blake have pointed ears?
Someone may have already pointed this out in the past, but I'm too lazy to go and check it out myself. So, um, sorry if this was already discussed.
I was looking at some pics of Blake and I thought her ears looks a bit long and pointed.
It might just be my imagination or something, but I thought I'd share my observation with you all. What do you think?
